Governor Fubara assures NYSC members deployed to Rivers State of conducive environment

Rivers State Governor, Mr. Siminalayi Fubara says his administration will continue to give priority to the welfare of youths especially the National Youth Service Corps members by providing the enabling environment to discover and harness their potentials.

Governor Fubara stated this during the swearing-in ceremony of the 2024 Batch ‘A’ Stream Two Corps Members deployed to Rivers State at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp at Nonwa Gbam-Tai. 

The Governor who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Special Services Bureau, office of the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Samson Friday-dede urged the corps members to take advantage of the numerous skills training in the camp pledging to tackle issues of unemployment in line with President Bola Tinubu’s agenda 

In his address, the NYSC State Coordinator , Mr. George Mfongang charged corp members posted to the State to take the lessons of the orientation exercise seriously as well as champion the course of driving unity and peace in the nation.

The oath of allegiance was administered by the Chief Judge of Rivers State represented by Justice Lemea Ngbor.

One thousand nine hundred and six corps members were sworn in for the batch.
