ADHERE TO TRAINING REGIMETATIONS TAMBUWAL CHARGES NSCDC 2019 RECRUITS.

NSCDC RIVERS STATE COMMANDANT, ABU TAMBUWAL

The Commandant,  Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Rivers State Command, Abu Tambuwal, has charged the newly recruited personnel on training to implicitly adhere with the culture of regimental discipline inculcated in them by their drill instructors in order to justify the essence of their enlistment and training processes.

Commandant Tambuwal who gave the charge while conducting an assessment on the ongoing NSCDC recruits training at the Nigerian Correctional Service training ground in Port Harcourt,  lauded the Commandant General Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi mni for putting in place a well articulated Curriculum for NSCDC Training Colleges, Introduction of Standard operating procedures (SOP) and the code of ethics which serve as guidelines for shapening and improving on personel behavioural conducts in the Service.

He noted that the recruitment process under the leadership of Dr Audi has been highly commendable stressing that there is no better time to have a well coordinated, organised and improved recruits training than now because, discipline starts from training.

The Rivers State  NSCDC boss  further relayed that when personnel are taken through the crucibles of proper orientation and regimentations, they would become outstanding officers and men ready to discharge their statutory duties with utmost loyalty, humility and commitment.
Tambuwal further expressed  satisfaction with the performances of the trainees who displayed their skills in parade drills during his visit.

He however charged them to endure the rigours as the next phase of the recruit training will involve lectures and seminars on the Corps ethics, NSCDC mandate, SOP, general duties and thereafter, they would be sent in batches to complete their Basic Training Course at the NSCDC Training Colleges across the Federation.

Highpoint of the tour was a courtesy call to the Rivers State Controller of Correctional Service in appreciation for making the command’s training facilities available for usage.
This notable step was described by Controller of Corrections Alex Oditah as a means of fertilising the already existing collaborations between the two agencies who are under the Federal Ministry of Interior.
