NDDC MD RESTATES COMMITMENT TOWARDS ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN NIGER DELTA REGION

The Managing Director Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku has reiterated the determination of the commission to boost entrepreneurship in the region. 

Dr. Ogbuku made this known while hosting a oalition of South-South   Chamber of Commerce, Industry Mines and Agriculture COSSCCIMA, at NDDC headquarters in Marine Base Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The Managing Director insisted that the commission registered Niger Delta Chamber of Commerce to provide support for business enterprises in the region. 

While emphasizing the importance of data to assist in planning, he told the group that the commission was committed to partnership.

Earlier in a presentation, President Coalition of South South   Chamber of Commerce, Industry Mines and Agriculture, COSSCCIMA Dr. OKON Emah said that the group would want to collaborate with NDDC in skill development and training for youths of Niger Delta region. 

According to Dr. Emah, the chamber provides a veritable platform for the private sector to interact, as they fashion out ways for job creation and development. 

Similarly, Chairman Board of Trustees, Dr. Gilis Harry noted that it was necessary that the commission has a working relationship with business community to enhance economic growth in the region. 

Apart from the Managing Director, other Management staff were present during the visit.
