CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF ALLAYS FEARS OF COUP D’ETAT, INAUGURATES PROJECTS IN 6 DIVISION PORT HARCOURT

Military hierarchy has allayed fears of taking over from the present administration in the country. 

Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa who made this known in Port Harcourt Rivers State while inaugurating some projects in 6 Division Nigerian Army barracks, described those advocating military take over as enemies of the nation. 

General Musa who warned people instigating a coup d’etat to desist or pay dearly for it, maintained that military was in support of democracy. 

He advised Nigerians to see the present predicaments in the country as a trying time, which would last for a short period. 

The Military General who commended the General Officer Commanding 6 Division Nigerian Army Port Harcourt, Major General Jamal Abdussalam for the projects, assured officers that their welfare was guaranteed. 

The Chief of Army Staff who also visited other military formations in Rivers state reassured Nigerians of the readiness of the Armed Forces to protect the nation’s territorial integrity. 

Among the projects inaugurated by General Musa were main entrance to 6 Division Barracks and Officers’ transit camp accommodation.
