However, Head, Corporate Communications of Indorama – Nigeria, Dr. Jossy Nkwocha, who debunked the allegations on behalf of the Company, explained that Mr. Diepreye’s claims were false and an attempt to damage the reputation of the company.

Dr. Nkwocha, said that Mr. David Diepreye was hospitalized for over a year to undertake a corrective surgery on his legs at the expense of his employer SPEO and Indorama, until he was discharged.

The Head, Corporate Communications of Indorama further explained that Mr. Diepriye continued treatment on outpatient basis until when he refused the orthodox treatment, saying that he would go to his village for traditional treatment instead.

Dr. Nkwocha said despite being served with the court process on the issue, the Company invited Mr. Diepreye to a meeting to resolve the matter amicably with the Managing Director of SPEO and his lawyer, also in attendance.
