Internal Auditors have been urged to be conversant with international best practices for proper documentations in a bid to ensure good governance.
The Zonal Director, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria South South Operations, Mr Lucky Obarein stated this at the opening of the 92nd regular meeting of Internal Auditors of the Corporation in Port Harcourt.
Mr Obarein, while stressing the need for the auditors to ensure strict compliance by stations to remittances of twenty five percent internally generated revenue to the federal government, urged them to also check technical aspects of operations.
Mr Obarein also advised the auditors to make implementable recommendations to the management of the corporation.
Earlier, Acting Director Internal Audit, Mr Yusuf Dan-Audi said the meeting is meant to carry out analytical review of financial activities and improve on areas that needed better performance.
Mr Dan-Audi said he was optimistic that at the end of the meeting there will be improved performances with financial activities in the corporation.
The two day meeting is being attended by heads of audit from all zonal stations, Lagos operations, Abuja Operations and the headquarters across the country.
