DR OGBUKU ASSURES ON STAFF WELFARE, TO EMPOWER STATE OFRFICES

The Managing Director, Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku says staff welfare will be paramount in his administration. 

Dr. Ogbuku who made this known while interacting with staff of Bayelsa State Office during a working visit to Bayelsa State, noted that to guarantee better service delivery, the working force needs to be catered for.

While emphasizing the importance of the State Offices, the managing Director stated that the State Offices would be equipped to enable them carry out the functions that will facilitate the overall development of the region. 

He assured the staff that their request towards having a befitting State Office would be put into consideration. 

 Earlier in a presentation, the Director Bayelsa State Office, Mr. Theophilus Allagoa who lamented the condition of the State Office, pleaded with the Managing Director to come to their rescue and provider a better working environment for the staff. 

Mr. Allagoa told the MD that the effects of the flood that ravaged the state was much on the staff, apart from the state office building.

The Bayelsa State Director also pleaded with the Managing Director to ensure that State Offices become part of the planning process for project selection and execution. 

The visit was the first by the Managing Director to any state office since assumption of office.
