OPOBO MONACH APPLAUDS CHARITY DAY CALLING FOR ANCHOR ON GOD

Rivers State Governor, Siminalaye Fubara has been advised to make GOD his anchor in the face of challenges as the Chief Executive of the State.

This was the New Year message from the Amayanabo of Opobo town, King Dandeson Jaja in an interview on the International Charity Day in Opobo Kingdom.

Correspondent Desire Lordson who was there for Radio Nigeria, reports that Opobo town is the country home of the Governor.

The Amayanabo of Opobo Kingdom, King Dandeson Jaja in a chat with Journalists after the Charity Health check on him and his wife, urged Governor Siminalaye Fubara to ensure that the dividends of democracy reaches every part of the State.

While commending the healthcare and scholarship program of the Charity Day, the Amayanabo of Opobo advised parents to ensure that Education is taken seriously by their children for the furtherance of the Country.

In his support for the inclusion of the vulnerable in charitable ventures, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of TAF Africa, formerly the Albino Foundation, Ambassador Jake Epelle, decried the hardship people face, due to poverty.

While commending the people of Opobo for the Charity day, President of OFUSA, Professor Iyalla Peterside and a Medical Doctor, Sofiri Peterside, said expressing love to people as a community, is key to the mental and social wellbeing of the people.

Some beneficiaries of the Charity Day Scholarship, Mr. Charles Jaja’s family and Tams Oko-Jaja’s family, pointed that Education is a major driver of development in the Country.

The respondents called for the sustenance of the Charity event.
