MILITARY SECRETARY ARMY, CHARGES OFFICERS TO TAKE THEIR CAREER SERIOUS RIGHT FROM ENLISTMENT

The Military Secretary Army, Major General Folusho Oyinlola has charged Army Officers to take their assignments serious right from enlistment to guarantee a successful career. 

Major General Oyinlola who gave the charge  during Career Planning sensitization lecture at 6 Division Nigerian Army Port Harcourt,  reminded them that every activity during the span of their service would contribute to their progress or otherwise. 

The Military Secretary Army, who spoke on “Career Planning for Nigerian Army Officers,” expressed optimism that the lectures would equip participants with necessary knowledge required to navigate towards a fulfilling service. 

 He emphasized the importance of courses and training programmes for army personnel. 

Similarly, General Officer Commanding GOC, 6 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Jamal Abdussalam identified career planning as very key to the success of an officer’s career. 

Major General Abdussalam who explained that Career planning entails  all activities by the Army to prepare an officer to contribute to the overall objective of the force, noted that it involves enlistment, Posting, promotion, appointment till retirement. 

According to the GOC, career planning enables Army to prepare officers for efficiency in service and fulfilling career. 

While appreciating Chief of Army Staff, COAS, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja for approval and logistics, Major General Abdussalam who is also the Land Component Commander Operation Delta Safe, enjoined officers to leverage on the opportunity to grow professionally while performing their assignments. 

Participants were drawn from 6 Division Nigerian Army.
