MD NDDC TASKS FINANCE AND SUPPLY DIRECTORATE TO ADOPT TECHNOLOGY AND REDUCE CUMBERSOME PAYMENT PROCESSES, RECEIVES AWARD OF EXCELLENCE

Managing Director Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku has advised staff of Finance and Supply Directorate NDDC, to avoid actions that will dent the image of the Commission.
Dr. Ogbuku who gave the advice during the retreat of the Directorate in Yenegoa Bayelsa State, asked them to ensure that uncompleted jobs should not be paid for.
According to him, there was need to liaise with those in Project Monitoring and Supervision PMS, to ensure that vouchers were only prepared for jobs done and certified.
The Managing Director who asked the staff to be dedicated, emphasized the importance of adapting to new trends in technology to ensure that processes were devoid of corruption and yet secured.
He called for change of attitude in the relationship with the clients which has generated a lot of misconceptions and accusations in the public space.
The MD challenged the staff to reduce cumbersome procedures that delay payment, but come up with new ideas to enable vendors enjoy smoother and smarter ways of payment.
The Chief Executive Officer of NDDC who told the participants that the commission has keyed into the Renewed Hope agenda of Mr. President, enjoined the staff to reflect the newness while dealing with vendors.
While appreciating the MD for the innovations he brought, the Director Finance and Supply, Mrs. Asu Kunemofa urged participants to allow the change start with them.
She emphasized the need to do things right always.
High point of the event was an award of excellence given to the MD NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku.
