MD, NDDC SAYS FORTHCOMING NIGER DELTA SUMMIT WILL PROVIDE A PLATFORM FOR STAKEHOLDERS TO CONTRIBUTE THEIR VIEWS ON RENEWED HOPE FOR SUSTAIBLE REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Managing Director, Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku says the forthcoming Niger Delta Stakeholders Summit will provide a platform for all participants to contribute their views that will ensure Renewed Hope for sustainable development in the region. 

Dr. Ogbuku who made the assertion during an interactive  at NDDC headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Maintained that the commission has aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr President and is determined to make  the people of the region feel the impact of the new hope through physical infrastructure. 

The MD stated that President Bola Tinubu gave a marching order to NDDC board to bring to reality the benefits of Renewed Hope through project execution. 

On the 2024 budget of the commission, Dr. Ogbuku explained  that the budget was done in collaboration with major stakeholders, insisting that when approved, it would help to complete many abandoned projects in different communities in the region. 

The MD who assured that the President was committed to tackle under development in Niger Delta region, expressed joy the passage of the budget would give rise to speedy completion of various projects that would have positive impacts on the people. 

Speaking about Public Private partnership module of the commission, the Chief Executive Officer of NDDC who attributed the completion of Ogbia Nembe Road to the gains of partnership, stated that the commission was in talks with another International Oil Company to collaborate and construct Warri Omadino to Escravos road to boost oil production and other economic activities in the area.
