NDDC UNVEILS AMBULANCES, PARLEYS WITH WHO

Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC has unveiled thirteen ambulances to be distributed to Niger Delta States in preparation over cholera outbreak.
Speaking at the event at NDDC headquarters in Port Harcourt Rivers State, Chairman, Board of Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Mr.Chiedu Ebie who said that the commission was committed to sustainable development goals with regards to health and infrastructural development, insisted that NDDC would continue to give attention to the health needs of the people of Niger Delta region.
Ealier during a courtesy call by a delegation from World Health Organization, WHO, Managing Director NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku
who told the delegation that the commission embarked on free medical mission where thousands of residents were beneficiaries, expressed readiness of the commission to partner WHO to provide adequate medicine services to the people.
Dr. Ogbuku pledged the commitment of NDDC to digital e-health and medical insurance for the region.
The MD stated that NDDC was willing to cut capital flight on medical tourism through the provision of good medical services to the people.
In his presentation, Country Representative of World Health Organization ,WHO, in Nigeria, Dr. Walter Molombo, who pledged willingness of WHO to support to medical services of Niger Delta Development Commission, commended NDDC for Prioritizing health of the people of the region.
Dr. Molombo who officially unveiled the Ambulances called for preparation ahead of outbreak of Cholera and any other epidemic.
