STAFF AND MANAGEMENT OF NDDC CELEBRATE MANAGING DIRECTOR, DR, SAMUEL OGBUKU ON HIS BIRTHDAY

The Managing Director, Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku has been described as an embodiment of wisdom and visionary leader with the determination to change narrative in NDDC and fast track the development of Niger Delta Region. 

Those  were  the  words  of staff and management of the commission who rolled out the drums to celebrate the managing Director on his birthday at NDDC headquarters, in Port Harcourt Rivers State. 

The atmosphere was that of a carnival spectacle, as staff of NDDC trooped out in their numbers to celebrate a Quintessential trailblazer, a man of many parts, the MD of NDDC, DR SAMUEL OGBUKU.

Speaking at the occasion, the  Executive Director Finance and Administration, EDFA  Chief Boma Iyaye described Dr Ogbuku as a man of  patience with a listening ear, told staff to emulate such attributes. 

Similarly, the executive director projects, EDP, sir Victor Antai who acknowledged that the Managing Director  is concerned about the welfare of staff, prayed God’s protection and wisdom upon him.

In a goodwill message, the Director Human Resources, Mr. Patrick Ekade assured MD of the support of staff, saying that he has transformed the commission. 

Mr. Ekade who noted that the MD re-branded the image of the commission, maintained that he has brought relief to staff.

On his part, the Chief of staff to the MD/CEO, Mr. Obegha Oworibo, said that Dr. Ogbuku has an open mind and does not believe in tribalism or ethnicity, but competence and fairness.  

Reacting to the development, The Managing Director Niger Delta sentiment Commission NDDC, DR. Samuel Ogbuku who  said he was overwhelmed  by the show of love, appreciated staff for  believing in him and supporting his administration.

Dr. Ogbuku who  encouraged staff to collaborate with one another to ensure  progress and prosperity of the region, acknowledged their support and dedication to work. 

While assuring them of open door policy, he told staff to feel free to make their suggestions that would guarantee success of the commission. 

High point of the occasion was cutting of birthday cake as moderated by Director Corporate Affairs, Mrs. SELEDI Thompson WAKAMA.
