
Managing Director, Edo State Waste Management Board, Mr Lucky Enehita- Inegbenehi has appealed to residents to always adhere to the law by making their environment Clean as the monthly environmental sanitation slated every last Saturday of the Month has come to stay.
Mr Enehita-Inegbenehi stated this in an interview with Newsmen opposite Aduwawa Market, a suburb of Benin City, shortly after monitoring compliance level of the monthly environment sanitation In some parts of Benin Metropolis.
He explained that the administration of Governor Okpebholor was key in ensuring that Edo State remained one of the cleanest State in Nigeria.
“Environmental sanitation has come to stay in Edo State. we must inculcate ourselves into the new law, we must get used to it, so that Edo State can become the cleanest. His excellency directive his very clear, he wants to make Edo State the cleanest among the thirty six states and the FCT”
The MD who noted that the sanitation exercise recorded ninety five percent Compliance said the Board had activated nineteen mobile courts across the local Governments in the state.

Mr Enehita-Inegbenehi explained that one of the expected three Brand new buildozers had arrived Benin City, to ensure refuse dumps are cleared immediately after the exercise.
“One of our bulldozers just arrived today, you know the other time in your news station I told you guys that his excellency has ordered three brown new buildozers to maintain our dump sites, because if you want to have a clean Edo, you must have a State of the art dump site so by the grace of God, one just arrived today “
Correspondent Fortune Oyem reports that several Edo residents seen wandering around and some motorists during the environmental exercise were arrested and taken to the mobile court along Exoti junction while a Commercial motor Park around Sakponba road of Benin Metropolis was sealed up and one of its Drivers arrested.
