The management and Staff of Edo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps has announced the passing of her commandant, Agun Gbenga.
The announcement is contained in a statement by the PRO Edo state command SC Efosa Ogbebor and made available to Radio Nigeria Bronze Fm Benin.
According to the statement, Commandant Agun Gbenga collapsed after delivering his goodwill message at an event organized by the International Association of World Peace Advocates at Bishop Kelly Pastoral Center in Benin City.
The statement notes that Commandant Gbenga was immediately rushed to the Military Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Commandant Gbenga worked tirelessly to ensure the protection of lives and property of citizens.
His humility, friendliness, and intelligence earned him great respect and admiration.
The statement further states that his dedication to duty and commitment to excellence will be deeply missed.
