The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has announced that a section of the carriageway on the Eleme axis of the East-West Road, currently under construction, will be completed and opened to motorists within the next ten days.
He made this announcement during an inspection tour of ongoing Federal road projects in Rivers State. Umahi also said the second carriageway is scheduled for completion by December this year.
The Works Minister said once both lanes are completed, toll gates and parks will be established along the route.
