Corps Members deployed to Rivers State for 2025 Batch C have been advised to “use their head and hands to create wealth, rather than to wait hopelessly for a white-collar job at the end of the service.”

The State Coordinator, NYSC Rivers State, Mr. Moses Oleghe gave the advice today during the closing ceremony of SAED in-camp training for the orientation exercise.

He used the occasion to inform the Corps Members to be focused, committed, dedicated, and passionate in building on the knowledge acquired in the in-camp training during the post-camp.

Oleghe assured the Corps Members of the availability of funding partners such as CBN, Bank of Industry, Bank of Agriculture, amongst others who are ready to provide with interest-free start-up capital.

The State’s SAED officer, Mrs. Caroline Chukwu appreciated the Corps Members for their enthusiasm and high spirits to acquire a skill during training.

She thanked the State Coordinator and camp officials for their immeasurable support to the SAED committee.

At the end of the inter-platoon SAED competition, platoon won the overall best, and they were rewarded with a giant trophy.

Also, the 2025 Batch C Corps Members deployed to Rivers State, have been advised to work diligently and selflessly to make the ” the State feel their impact positively.”

The Director, NYSC North West Area Office II, Sokoto, Mr. Anthony Nzoka gave the advice today at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Nonwa-Gbam Tai, when he addressed the Corps Members.

He used the occasion to charge them to be intentional in “acquiring a skill and be ready to provide effective leadership in their Places of Primary Assignment, noting that because leadership come to those who are ready and prepared for it.”

Speaking further, Mr. Nzoka enjoined the Corps Members to use the opportunity of the service year to “build bridges of national unity and integration through meaningful relationships that can endure for a lifetime.”

Earlier, the State Coordinator, Mr. Moses Oleghe had informed the Director NWAO II that the Corps Members deployed to Rivers State for the orientation exercise are “well-behaved, passionate and willing to make positive impacts at the camp and in their Places of Primary Assignment.”

He described them as “one of the best set of Corps Members in recent times in the State.”

The Director was entertained by the NYSC cultural dance and a beautiful man o war display.
