Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation has taken its sensitization rally on the mid-term achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration to midwifery markets, Anioma markets along Okpanam road, and NTA road fruits markets Asaba.

The sensitization which was led by the Head , Federal Information Centre, Asaba Mr Felix Ijomah ,commenced at the Federal Secretariat with distribution of various leaflets and fliers showcasing the sectoral achievements of the federal government for the past two years under the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

At the various markets visited, management staff of the Federal Information Centre,Asaba ,took turn to sensitize traders, motorists, Keke riders and other residents on the essence of the rally which according to them served as a build up for the town hall sensitization programme slated to hold at the Conference Hall, Federal Secretariat, Asaba.

Mr Celestine Afokoba and Kelly Gilor who were among the speakers at the sensitization rally, said President Bola Tinubu’s administration had rolled out various socio- economic, and educational policies and reform programmes aimed at improving the wellbeing of the people.

These , they highlighted to include building of infrastructure in various parts of the country, stabilizing the economy, provision of interest free loans to thousands of students in tertiary institutions of learning, grants to micro, small and medium scale businesses traders, as well as grants to poor and vulnerable groups including households.

”Our President Bola Tinubu administration has put many programmes in place to better the lives of women, men , youths, men, traders, farmers, students, and every Nigerian. We are inviting you all to come to the Federal Secretariat Conference Hall Asaba tomorrow, to come know how you can benefit from the programmes. And also to hear from our Ogas what the administration of President Tinubu has done so far, and what it is presently doing and what to expect from the administration in the coming years”, Afokoba and Kelly stated.

At every market, traders in their numbers gladly collected the fliers and posters to have a glimpse of the scorecard mid-term achievements of the present administration, assuring that they would be at the venue for the town hall sensitization campaign holding at the Federal Secretariat Conference Hall Asaba.

Few other traders and residents expressed concern over what they described as tough economic situation in the country, and called on both the federal and the state government to intensify efforts at alleviating their sufferings.

Commenting on the essence of the rally, the Head, Federal Information Centre Asaba, Mr Felix Ijomah said, ”Actually, we had a similar rally at about this time last year to sensitize Nigerians on the key priority areas of government. This time around, we are having this rally to tell Nigerians the achievements of the present administration led by President Bola Tinubu in the first two years in office”

”Last time, we told the people about the President’s determined efforts to ensure there is peace and security , food security , energy sufficiency and infrastructural development. Today, a lot has been achieved in the area of grants to farmers, and students interest free loans, with over 300, 000 students benefiting . Government has deemed it necessary to use the various offices of information centres across the thirty six states and the Federal Capital Territory, to sensitize Nigerians about the laudable achievements of the President and make them noticeable”

”Apart from that, in area of energy, we all in Asaba know that there is remarkable improvement in electricity supply. This is part of the energy sector promise made by the President. We are actually seeing them”

”Also, in the area of micro credit support to business women and men, many of them have benefitted. Over 300, 000 students have benefitted from NELFUND. So, we need to inform residents in Asaba, Okpanam and other parts of the state. More of all these achievements will be unveiled to them at the town hall sensitization programme at the Federal Secretariat Conference Hall Asaba”, Ijomah stated.
