The people of Edo state should now expect more robust, proactive and comprehensive reporting and programming from Radio Nigeria Bronze FM Benin.
The General Manager of the station, Comrade Victorson Agbenson gave this assurance in Benin city as he marked his golden jubilee birthday shortly after receiving a new transmitter for the broadcast outfit.
The birth anniversary event put together by friends, associates and staff of Bronze Fm in Benin, the Edo state capital featured a colloquium focusing on managing “a public broadcaster amidst the new media buzz”.
It provided an opportunity for the management and staff of the station to brainstorm on new ways and strategies to make the outfit more vibrant.
In his presentation, the General manager, Comrade Victorson Agbenson who recently clocked fifty, expressed gratitude to the almighty God for sustaining him over the years and thanked the management of FRCN under Dr. Mohammed Bulama for taking concrete steps to reposition bronze fm.
“Am glad our station is getting better and getting stronger . Am grateful to the management of FRCN under Dr Mohammad Bulama for his responsive leadership, visionary leadership for repositioning the FRCN. We have no excuse now, there’s no excuse again for staffers not to perform.Every body should go out and sell the station “.
While appealing to staffers to invest in themselves and the station, Comrade Agbenson reiterated his resolve to move BRONZE FM to greater heights.
An Engineering consultant, Mr Courage Okponibuot, advised the management and staff of bronze fm to make good use of the new transmitter and always follow the guidelines for safe operations.
” I saw sincerity in him and as a person we got connected, we look forward to see how in his tenure Bronze FM we change the lives of people, impact the state and also bring revenue to the station.”
In a remark, the Head of Sports and Outside Broadcast Service, Mr Ken Eromobor and Head of Marketing, Bronze FM, Mrs Justina Attah commended comrade Agbenson for his friendliness and visible impact in Bronze FM within a short period.
” I think Comrade Victorson Agbenson has been a good friend, we can see his wider touch in the station despite the short time he has spent with us”.
Childhood friends of comrade Victorson Agbenson, Pastor Ken Obahor from Warri, Delta state and Mr Ernest Okungbowa said eulogized him for his sacrificial and impactful life style.
” I have known Reverend Agbenson for a long time. One of the things I know about him is that he is down to Earth, he is not a person that is religious or pretentious. He is down to Earth, am not seeing as a GM but am seeing him as a Pastor which I used to know him back then, he is a Giver, when we were together in Abuja then, he was the one sustaining us, he was the only one that was working among all of us, he do give us Money to buy Okhro to cook out major soup, which is Garri and Okhro.
This is the only man that can lay hands on my Head, because of his sincerity, and I give it to him.”
Other who spoke, described Comrade Agbenson as a leader with the requisite foresight to reposition Bronze FM.
The high point of the event was the treating of guests to various refreshments and group photographs.
