
Retirees of Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC have been asked to be available to render assistance to the commission when called upon.
Managing Director NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku who made the call during retirement and award.ceremoney in Port Harcourt Rivers State, expressed optimism that the retirees would succeed having gone through different experiences in their service years.
He encouraged them to be good ambassadors of the commission and have the liberty to consult the commission if need be.

NDDC boss who gave them assurance that their entitlements would be a guarantee encouraged other staff to learn from the retiring Directors and improve upon what they have done.
While discouraging directors that would take over from denigrating the retirees and their assignments,
the MD asserted that NDDC remained one big family and would continue to grow together.
In a welcome address, the Executive Director Finance and Administration, Alabo Boma Iyayi told the retirees that they have contributed meaningfully to the progress of the commission, assuring them that the commission still needs their experiences to navigate to higher levels.

In the same vein, Retiring Director Admin and Human Resources, AHR, Mr. Patrick Ekade admonished staff to put in their best in all their assignments, knowing that the commission would celebrate them in due time.
Mr. Ekade appreciated management for setting out time to appreciate the staff that have put in a lot of works for the progress of the commission.
Responding, Mr. Nelson Owor, said it was a worthwhile experience serving in the commission taking development to the rural areas in the region.
He thanked the MD and management team for their developmental strides.
Mr. Owor who revealed that many projects were done during his time at the commission advised other staff to continue to support the vision of the management.
Similarly, the retiring Director of Education Health and Social services, EHSS Dr. George Uzonwanne admitted that NDDC trained him in various fields to equip him as a professional.
Dr. George encouraged staff to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the commission to develop in their careers.
