
Managing Director Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC Dr. Samuel Ogbuku says the commission will continue to work for Peace and unity of the region.
Dr. Ogbuku who made this known during “Twenty-Twenty-Five Niger Delta Arts and Culture Expo” in Uyo Akwa Ibom State, maintained that the commission will continue to promote the rich cultural heritage of the region.

Represented by Akwa Ibom State representative on the NDDC Board, Mr. Abasiandikan Nkono, the MD assured the people that more projects would be executed for the overall development of the Region.
In the vein, Special Guest of honour, Dr. Mrs.Amaba Ogbuku who stated that culture should be promoted as an identity of the people, maintained that Niger Delta people were unique and enjoined them to be good ambassadors of the region.

Dr. Mrs. Ogbuku who is the Wife of the Managing Director insisted on promoting love and oneness among the people of Niger Delta and Nation at large.
In an address, Director Culture and and Women Affairs NDDC, Mrs. Ahunna Imoni said that the celebration was to show unity in diversity Among diverse ethnic Nationalities in the oil rich Niger Delta
Highpoint of the event was dancing competition among women groups and State cultural troupes of all mandate states.
The theme of the expo was ‘Rhythms of the Niger Delta, music, dance and heartbeat of our people.’
