Security agencies have been reassured of continuous support by Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, in the region and nation at large.
Dr. Ogbuku who gave the assurance during a courtesy visit by the Commander Operation Delta Safe, OPDS, at NDDC Headquarters in Port Harcourt Rivers State, told the delegation that the commission has donated a lot of facilities to security agencies across the region.
He noted that Niger Delta as an oil rich region was pivotal to the growth and development of the nation, hence the need for peace in the region.

“We will keep supporting Security agencies to the extent that it will help them be comfortable in doing their jobs in the Niger Delta.
On assumption of office, we supported 16 Brigade Nigerian Army in Bayelsa State and Central Naval Command.
We have commenced the completion of Nigerian Army base in Warri. We completed and donated Navel Base, House and gun boats in Ayakoro. We just finished one also in Ayama.
We are going to be doing more”
Earlier on, the Commander Operation Delta Safe, Rear Admiral Olugbenga Oladikpo who insisted that the military was determined to protect oil and gas installations to increase oil output, stated that the region was safe due to sustained security presence.
Rear Admiral Oladikpo pledged that they would partner NDDC to enable the commission to fulfill her mandate.
