Director General of Delta State Bureau for Communications, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, says Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, has been well guided by the principles of equity, fairness and good conscience in the spread of infrastructure development and dividends of democracy across the three senatorial districts.

Dr Oghenesivbe made the assertion at a public affairs radio program monitored in Asaba, saying that it’s lawful for Deltans to ask the Governor to deliver more infrastructure in their communities, but that such requests must not always come by way of agitations or criticisms on social media platforms, but to channel such requests through their elected representatives or political appointees.

Dr Oghenesivbe further asserted that the over N200billion recently approved by the governor for several infrastructure developments across the three senatorial districts clearly attests to his sincere desire to govern equitably without undue favour to any of the senatorial district, stating that more flyovers, pedestrian bridges, road dualization projects, youth and women empowerment would continue to spring up across the state.

The Bureau Chief emphasized the right of citizens to place demand on the government, and that it is also fair and morally right to commend Governor Oborevwori and his administration whenever the need arises, noting that what the governor achieved in the past two years in office points to the fact that he came prepared for good governance and doing so with clear vision, unwavering commitment and focus.

He gave an assurance that Governor Oborevwori will continue to be fair in the spread of infrastructure development and equitable distribution of the state’s resources, guided by good conscience, and the principles of equity.

The Bureau Chief further noted that Governor Oborevwori had been working closely with leaders of all ethnic nationalities in the state on equal basis, urging those asking for more empowerment and infrastructure development to be patient, because the MORE Agenda under implementation would continue to upscale prosperity for all Deltans, and grow the state economy till May 29, 2031.

“Governor Oborevwori has been fair to the three senatorial districts in the spread of infrastructure development and equitable distribution of the state resources.

“Projects are ongoing while some are already completed in all local government areas. Mega infrastructure are now spreading. Agbor in Delta North, and Ughelli in Delta Central are now beneficiary of mega flyovers. It will spread to other places in the state.

“One thing is clear and unarguable. And that is that Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori is governor for all Deltans, not detribalized, not partial in his official dealings, and he will continue to balance the spread of appointments, infrastructure development, and youth/womwn empowerment across the state,” Oghenesivbe assured.
