Operatives of the Akwa Ibom State Command have raided a location on Udi Street, Uyo, leading to the arrest of two individuals and the recovery of numerous stolen items.
In a statement, the Police police Public Relations Officer, Ms Timfon John, said the police Acting on credible intelligence, launched an operation which resulted in the arrest of one Babangida Idris Usman and Awalu Abdullahi, both suspected receivers of stolen property.
She said among the items recovered were 14 sewing machine heads and a generator. Ms Timfon said so far two complainants have come forward and we’re able to identify their stolen machines among the recovered items.
