The All progressives Congress, APC; in Rivers State says it will not allow anyone or group of persons that will cause catastrophic into the party.
Chairman of the party in the State, Chief Tony Okocha told Newsmen in Port Harcourt at the end of the party’s leadership meeting that although their door is open for new members to join the party, but due process must be followed.
“I’ve said to our people, allow anybody who wants come and join us, but you must get clearance from us. We don’t need a crowd whose intention is to come and destroy the party. APC have moved on from social club to a robust and formidable political party in rivers state, ready for any action, anytime, any day. And so nobody will take us back to Siberia. We want to go back to Siberia”.
The APC chairman in Rivers State acknowledged the hardship in the country, however, pleaded that the people should be patient with the president Tinubu led administration, noting that the presidency is working assiduously to alleviate the hardship in the nation.
“When you see a president who was self sponsored, should know that interest will be for the people of Nigeria. And so we want to thank him for all the good things that he has done, and forget about the clamor of, oh, that’s hunger. Yes, we agree. But the issue of hunger and the difficulties, you know, in Nigeria didn’t start with him. Rome was not built in a day, he will repair all of that”. He said
He also informed the party leaders in the State of what transpired at the national APC summit held recently in Abuja.
At the end of the meeting, the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State joined other members in the country to endorse President Bola Tinubu as the flag bearer for 2027 presidential election.
