The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Retired Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas has reiterated commitment in revitalization of the healthcare system in the State.

Retired vice Admiral Ibas made this known during the commissioning of the equipped and furnished Dental and Physiotherapy Units as well as the Solarisation and Inverter Backed UPS system of the Professor Kelsey Harrison Hospital in Port Harcourt.

Retired vice Admiral Ibas represented by his Senior Special Adviser on Health, Professor Chituru Orluwene while commissioning the units stated that money should not be the limiting factor for any individual to access quality healthcare services.

He said the state Government was doing everything possible to upgrade the Rivers State Contributory Health Program, RIVCHPP, to achieve that goal of inclusive healthcare accessibility.

In his address, the Chief Medical Director, Rivers State Hospital Management Board, RSHMB, Dr. Bright Ogbondah who commended the present administration for its support explained the successes recorded so far in the hospital, noting that the board is also planning on degitalisation and computerization of its services, which is also called the electronic medical record systems, in four pilot hospitals in the state, and training of medical personnel among others.
