The General Officer Commanding 6 Division Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, Major General Emmanuel Eric-Emekah has identified skills acquisition as a way to curb unemployment and insecurity in the Country.

Major General Eric-Emekah who made this position known at the OPM Free Skills Training Centre in Aluu. He stated that the need to identify with some widows and children of fallen heroes as well as some family members of Serving officers of the Nigerian Army undergoing free skills training in different sectors like fashion design, ICT, body cream, shoe making, soap necessitated his visit.

Major General Eric-Emekah said such training gives meaningful engagement and could be a solution to crime in the Country.

After seeing the skills being taught and some explanations from the Skills Instructor, Major General Eric-Emekah expressed pleasure at the development.

General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry, OPM, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, said the move was borne from the desire to appreciate the commitments of the Nigerian Army for the Country, foster Unity and empower the participants financially.

The Cleric said the venture is one hundred percent funded through tithes and offering from OPM Church.
