PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES URGE POLITICAL OFFICE HOLDERS TO TAKE A CUE FROM AHOADA EAST LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL CHAIRMAN’S GESTURE

Persons living with disabilities in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State have commended the local government chairman, chief Benjamin Eke for giving them a sense of belonging through employment and other financial and material gifts.

Chairman of the Joint National Association of Persons with disabilities, Ahoada East, Mr. Seji Nwabueze in an interview with correspondent Desire Lordson, called for more sensitization in various sectors to discourage stigmatization of persons living with disabilities.

 Leader of the Group, Mr. Appah Ebenezer while expressing pleasure on the appointment of one of them into their Council, pleaded with Organizations to give them the opportunity to contribute their quota to the development of the Nation.

 The respondents decried the level of discrimination they suffer urging the few who show them affection to maintain the tempo.
