Christians have been called upon to emulate the sacrificial love of JESUS CHRIST for mankind in their daily life.
This was the message of a Port Harcourt based clergy, Reverend Canon Godwin Amaku who spoke to Radio Nigeria on the significance of Easter Monday.
Reverend Canon Amaku said it was necessary for Christians to take a day of rest after activities to mark the ‘holy week’ prior to Easter Sunday.
The Anglican Priest further pointed out that the decision to make Sunday the Christians’ day of worship as against the sabbath, was in remembrance of JESUS’S Resurrection on the first day of the week.
Reverend Canon Amaku admonished Christians, especially those going through tough season, to remain steadfast and build their hope in Jesus Christ.
