PRESIDENTIAL TECHNOLOGICAL TRANSFER COMMITTEE SEEKS SYNERGY WITH NDDC ON YOUTH CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT

Managing Director, Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku says the commission is exploring various platforms that will create opportunities for youths of Niger Delta region.
Dr. Ogbuku who stated this while receiving Presidential Implementation Committee on Technological Transfer at NDDC headquarters in Port Harcourt, told the Committee that management has already set up a Public Private Partnership PPP Committee to laise with organizations that will help to drive the development of Niger Delta region.
According to NDDC Chief Executive Officer, a data base of youth entrepreneurs of Niger Delta extraction is being harnessed for easy reach for business expansion and capacity development.
The NDDC Managing Director who was emphatic of the determination of the youths of the region to exploit opportunities from organizations willing to provide technical support that will enhance the realization of their dreams, gave assurance of management’s readiness to work with the committee.
On his part, the Chairman, Presidential Implementation Committee on Technological Transfer, Dr. Mohammed Dahiru said that the technological transfer committee was set up to collaborate with other countries to cross fertilize ideas in various areas of technological know how.
Dr. Dahiru who solicited synergy with NDDC in youth development, revealed that their programmes were tailor made for the region.
The Technological transfer programmes would focus on, Agriculture, Environment, Human Capital development among others.
