OVER THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY RESIDENTS OF KPITE BENEFIT FROM SIX DIV FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH

Over three hundred residents of Kpite Community in Tai Local Government Area Rivers State, have benefited from free medical outreach by Six Division Nigerian Army Port Harcourt.
Speaking during the outreach at Model Primary Health Care Centre Kpite, the General Officer Commanding, GOC, Six Division Nigerian Army, Major General Jamal Abdussalam told the people that the outreach apart from being a measure to promote civil Military relationship, was also part of the activities marking one hundred and sixty Army Day Celebration, tagged NADCEL, 2023.
Represented by the Commander Six Division Garison, Brigadier General Eddy Effiong, the GOC solicited timely and useful information from the community to enable Army fish out criminals in their hideouts and guarantee adequate security.
Similarly, the Commander Six Division Hospital, Colonel Sylvester Nwabueze while explaining the functions of medical equipment donated alongside the outreach, gave assurance of proper medical attention, giving the caliber of medical personnel on ground.
Reacting to the development, the Metron of the Health Centre, Mrs. Muele Nwana appreciated Nigerian Army for the gesture and promised judicious use of the equipment.
In the same vein, one of the beneficiaries, Chief John Kpiso expressed joy that he was treated of his ailment and was given a pair of eye glasses.
The respondents described the free medical as unprecedented in the locality.
Some of the medical equipment donated to the health centre include, oxygen Cylinder with flow meter, Glucometer, Kidney and liver function test machine, among others.
