Rivers state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Adaeze Oreh says the health benefit package for State health insurance is totally in line with Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s vision to improve the quality of healthcare system in the state.
Dr. Oreh made this known at the flag off of the 3 Day workshop for Rivers State Contributory Health Protection Programme, RIVCHPP; Benefit Package Development.
Dr. Oreh stated that the state Government has provided the needed infrastructure and is currently working towards bridging the human resource challenges for a smooth take-off of the insurance program including the basic healthcare provision fund.
On his path, the Rivers State House of Assembly Chairman, House Commiitee on Health, Mr. Adolphus Orubienimigha assured that as law makers, they will bring it to the floor of the House and ensure the Contributory Pension Scheme is properly handled for effective and smooth operation in the State.
The Chairman House Commiitee on Health added that the law makers will continue to support the present administration in the state to achieve the desired results in the health sector.
