The GOC remarked that the AFN is an entity with a lot of branches, operating along different functional lines for the same purpose. He further added that the school, like the Depot Nigerian Army, is a place where civilians are broken into military personnel. Hence, the need to inculcate in them ab initio the concept of synergy in the AFN. “They need to know that both the NA and the NN are one entity, performing different  functions,” he said . He assured that the Division is always ready to support the school in whatever way possible.

Earllier, the Commandant, said that the NNBTS and sister Services have  always been in collaboration and as such he deemed it fit to pay a courtesy call on the GOC, since he assumed office as the Commandant.

As contained in the statement, Commodore Kachim affirmed  that the school is tasked with the responsibility of  training civilians to become war machines required by  the Navy. He further emphasized the importance of synergy, adding that during training, the school invites sister Services to give their own perception on certain topics. Hence, from time to time, they would leverage on such opportunities.

Commodore Kachim also used the platform to solicit for support and assistance from the Division if the need arises. He expressed optimism that the school will also assist in accomplishing the GOC’s mission and the command philosophy of the COAS.
