The Secretary, Rivers state Primary Health Care Management Board Dr. Kinikanwo Green has described World Contraception day which is observed on the twenty sixth of September, as very significant as it helps to draw attention to the importance of accessing family Planning service.
Dr. Green urged everyone to avail themselves of the opportunity to uptake family planning to reduce the high rate of unplanned pregnancies.
She called on residents of Rivers state to ensure that they access family Planning Services which is available, accessible and without charges.
The medical personnel warned against the dangers of self-medication as an alternative to family planning.
