NUJ TREASURE FM PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO KEVES GLOBAL CEO, CHIEF IKENNA OKAFOR

Well-meaning Nigerians have been urged to use their wealth and resources to support the less privileged in society as a means of fighting insecurity in the country.

The call was made during a courtesy visit by Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Radio Nigeria Treasure FM Chapel Port Harcourt to an entrepreneur   in Maritime sector and CEO, KEVES GLOBAL LEASING LTD, Chief Ikenna Okafor, IDE AKWAEZE.

Chairman of the Chapel, Mr. Gabriel Okechukwu, in an address called for partnership from wealthy individuals to carry out some meaningful projects by the union.

Mr. Okechukwu stated that NUJ Treasure FM Chapel is in need of an Event Hall with ICT Centre to train union members, staff, and students on industrial attachment on Information and communication Technology ICT, as a way of equipping them with employable skills.

The NUJ Treasure FM Chairman while appreciating Chief Okafor for his philanthropy, Humanitarian services and sponsorship of several sport tournaments, remarked that any project carried out by any well-meaning Nigerian in the Station would become a legacy.

He acknowledged that the philanthropist has contributed to the fight against cultism through sport by providing veritable platforms for youths to discover their talents.

Reacting, The CEO KEVES GLOBAL LEASING LTD, Chief Ikenna Okafor who said that he believes in supporting communities in education and infrastructural amenities, added that he sponsors sport events to take youths off the street, thereby reducing crimes. 

Chief Okafor advised Nigerian youths to shun vices but channel their energies and youthfulness to profitable ventures such as sport and ICT.

According to KEVES GLOBAL CEO, his support in various human endeavours was triggered by passion to lift many out of poverty and create avenues for economic development in communities.

The Maritime Entrepreneur pledged to be part of NUJ Radio Nigeria Treasure FM Chapel’s project in support of the Station’s service to the humanity.
