ARMY HOLDS LEADERSHIP SEMINAR TO EQUIP PERSONNEL

Commanding officers in Nigerian Army have been charged to ensure that troops within their commands are battle ready to neutralize criminal elements. 

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja who gave the charge during a leadership seminar at 6 Division barracks in Port Harcourt Rivers State reaffirmed commitment to regular training to equip officers with necessary skills. 

Lieutenant General Lagbaja  who was represented by the General Officer Commanding 6 Division Nigerian Army Port Harcourt,  Major General Jamal Abdulssalam noted that the seminar was necessary considering different operations ongoing in different parts of the country by troops. 

The Chief of Army Staff who said that Army hierarchy was determined to have a well equipped force, advised participants to leverage on the opportunity to acquire necessary knowledge that would enhance their professional careers. 

He however commended the officers for their efforts in curtailing criminality in the areas of responsibility. 

The Army Chief expressed confidence on the caliber of resource persons to do justice to different aspects of the seminar. 

The theme of the seminar was Transformational Leadership and Nigerian Army Operational Effectiveness.
