Diobu Vigilante has apprehended two suspected criminals by name Achu gods-first and Victor Wokoma who have caused much harm to the resident.

The Chairman, Diobu Vigilante, Bipilaide Amatiri who made this known to our correspondent in Port Harcourt said the vigilante members patrolled and stationed themselves at Lumumba by Emenike to Lumumba by Nanka to monitor all movement within that area following the incessant attacks and killings in that area these few days.

Mr. Amatiri said his group received distress calls about the criminals and that they had gunned down someone at Ojoto axis after robbing him of his phones.

He noted that their investigation revealed that a particular Cult group was masterminding the robbery incidents using cult clash and fight for serial crime.

Two suspects apprehended by the Diobu Vigilante, Achu gods-first and Victor Wokoma spoke of their involvements; how they steal and sell phones in phone markets.

The leader of the Diobu vigilante appealed to the Government and the public to support and sustain them with logistics and mobility which will make the vigilante respond to distress calls swiftly.

Meanwhile, Rivers State Police Command says it has begun an investigation into the killing of a yet-to-be-identified man by a suspected cultist in Port Harcourt.

This was confirmed by Police Public Relations Officer-PPRO for the Rivers State Command, Grace Iringe-Koko.

It was learnt that the man was shot dead last Thursday night along the Nanka Lumumba Diobu axis, between MLKile 2 and Mile 3 after three gunmen trailed him to a noodles spot and shot him in the head immediately after he left the shop.

An anonymous source linked the shooting to intra-cult war between two factions of the Deygbam gang seeking territorial control of an illegal business site in the area; but the police dismissed the claim of cult war.
