NDDC OUTREACH RECORDS OVER ONE HUNDRED SURGERIS IN OTUASEGA COMMUTY

In continuation of the free medical mission embarked upon by Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, over one hundred surgeries have been carried out in Otuasega, Ogbia Local Government, Bayelsa State. 

Speaking while declaring open the outreach in Otuasega, Managing Director Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC  DR SAMUEL Ogbuku says the free medical Mission would henceforth be held on quarterly bases instead of annually. 

Dr. Ogbuku who was elated over the success of the medical mission with over three thousand beneficiaries, approved extension of the outreach for two weeks instead of one week. 

The Managing Director who promised to equip Otuasega Cottage Hospital, venue of the outreach with modern equipment, said that schools in the community would also receive a facelift in giving back to the community where he grew up. 

Giving details of the programme, the lead consultant Dr. Yommy  Jaye who was confident of the medical team, noted that all the cases treated were successful. 

While one of the beneficiaries, Mr. Paul Peve   expressed happiness that he has been set free from ten years of suffering. 

Another Beneficiary Mrs. Kate Johnson who was overwhelmed with joy over the gesture from NDDC acknowledged that she could not afford the medical bill to handle her ailment. 

The MD also distributed delivery kits to all pregnant women and packages to young boys in the community.
