NDDC INAUGURATES 1X15 INJECTION SUBSTATION IN AMUFI EDO STATE

The one by fifteen mega volts cum thirty three by eleven kilovolts electricity injection power station built by Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, in Amufi-Ikpoba Community, Okha Local Government Area, Edo State has been inaugurated.
The one by fifteen mega volts cum thirty three by eleven kilovolts electricity injection substation built by Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, in Amufi-Ikpoba Community, Okha Local Government Area, Edo State is among over fifty other completed projects by the commission and marked for inauguration.
Speaking during the inauguration, Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, represented by Commissioner for mining and Power Mr. Ojiefo Enaholo, expressed joy that NDDC executed the project to ensure steady power supply in the communities within the vicinity.
The Governor who nicknamed the Managing Director of NDDC as Project Sam of Niger Delta,
Pledged that the state would ensure judicious use of the facility to improve the living standards of benefiting communities.
Addressing the gathering, Managing Director Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku asserted that NDDC was a blessing to Niger Delta region.
Dr. Ogbuku who told the people that he was elated about the project insisted that it was in consonance with the mandate of president Bola Tinubu to complete all abandoned and ongoing projects started by the commission.
The MD who was optimistic that the facility would bring about development and commerce in the area, appreciated the traditional ruler and residents for securing the facility.
He promised to reward them with the construction of the deplorable road leading to the power station.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Interventionist agency acknowledged past and present leaders who worked tirelessly to make the project a reality.
The MD said that the inauguration was one among many other projects done by the commission and have been earmarked for inauguration and use by the communities.
He mentained that NDDC was determined to take development to the hinter lands.
According to him, the project inauguration was part of one year anniversary of President Bola Tinubu. .
Dr. Ogbuku emphasized peace in communities to enhance oil production and subsequently more funds to the commission for development.
Giving the project brief, the Executive Director Projects, EDP, NDDC, Mr. Victor Antai who gave the value of the contract to be two hundred and forty eight million naira said the facility was completed according to specifications.
He expressed satisfaction that NDDC has brought relief to power challenges at the environs.
Sir. Antai noted that the facility also has a control room, six circuit breaker, switch gear panels, tripping units, one kilometer thirty three kilovolts high tension overhead line and a borehole.
The EDP gave assurance that the facility has been tested and confirmed ready to provide power to aid economic growth in Amufi and other Communities.
on his part, Senator Representing Edo South Senatorial District, Senator Bernard Imaseuen acknowledged that the project would help small and medium size enterprises in the locality to grow.
Senator Imasuen applauded NDDC for the gesture.
Reacting to the development, the paramount ruler of Amufi, His Royal Highness, Egharevba Iyaewuara who was appreciative of the move from NDDC, expressed confidence that steady power supply would boost economic and social activities in the locality as well as lift many out of poverty.
