NDDC FREE MEDICAL RECORDS ABOUT ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY SURGERIES IN OGU/BOLO

Managing Director, Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku says the ongoing free medical Outreach is to guarantee Healthcare of the people of the region in line with united Nations Milenium Development Goal, MDG number three.
Dr. Ogbuku who made this known during free medical outreach in Ogu, Ogubolo Local Government Areas, Rivers State, noted that over twenty thousand residents of the region have benefited from the programme.
Represented by Director, Rivers State Office, Mr. Okezie Ule, the MD told the people that the interventionist agency was concerned about their health status.
Similarly, the Director, Education, Health and Social Services, NDDC, Dr. George Uzonwanne explained that over one hundred surgeries have been carried out in addition to other ailments.
Chairman Rivers State Hospital Management Board, Professor Daprim Ogaji who said the Management Board was in charge secondary healthcare services expressed the readiness of the board to work with NDDC.
On his part, Chaiman Ogu Divisional Council of Chiefs, Chief Ochemiebe Adokie, described the free medical outreach as a big privilege to have NDDC free medical in the community.
While appreciating the commission for the opportunity, one of the beneficiaries, Dr. Mrs. Precious Osilem said she had an eye surgery.
The Respondents requested that the programme be extended due to the large turn up.
