
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says about 379,997 candidates in the just concluded academic exercise would retake the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination nationwide.
This comes after Jamb admitted that some errors affected the performance of candidates during the 2025 Examination across different centers nationwide.
Jamb Registrar, Ishaq Oloyede, who was practically in tears, made this known while addressing journalists on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, admitted that there were errors.
On May 9, 2025, JAMB released the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). A few days after releasing the results, the examination body commenced an investigation into alleged complaints of glitches from a few states during the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
The board said it engaged experts, including members from the Computer Professionals Association of Nigeria, chief external examiners who are heads of tertiary institutions, the Educational Assessment and Research Network in Africa, measurement experts, and vice chancellors from various institutions to carry out the task.
