
As part of its statutory responsibility, the Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Education has reiterated its commitment to ensuring that all public and private schools across the State resume academic activities promptly and strictly adhere to approved guidelines for each school term.
The Honourable Commissioner for Education, Professor Ubong Essien Umoh, led a team from the Ministry on a routine monitoring exercise to selected primary and secondary schools to assess their level of preparedness for the commencement of academic activities for the Second Term.

Addressing staff and students separately during the visit, Professor Umoh conveyed the goodwill message of the State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, to teachers and learners across the State.
He assured them of the Government’s unwavering commitment, through the ARISE Agenda, to providing a conducive environment that promotes effective teaching and learning.

The Commissioner urged teachers and students to remain focused and dedicated to their academic responsibilities in order to achieve success at the end of the term.
While commending the punctuality, professional dressing, and impressive turnout of teachers at resumption, he encouraged them to commence teaching in earnest, noting that early and effective engagement would motivate more pupils and students to return to school promptly.

• Christ the King Model Primary School, Wellington Bassey Way, Uyo
The Ministry of Education reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a learning-friendly environment and ensuring that all stakeholders effectively discharge their responsibilities toward the advancement of education in the State.
The Monitoring exercise will continue as the term progresses.
