CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF UNVEILS ACCOMMODATION QUARTERS, VEHIVLES IN SIX DIVISION NIGERIAN ARMY PORT HARCOURT

CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF, LIEUTENANT GENERAL FAROUK YAHAYA, GOC SIX DIVISION, MAJOR GENERAL OLUFEMI OLUYEDE AND OTHER SENIOR OFFICERS

Chief of Army Staff, COAS, Lieutenant General Farouk Yahaya says welfare of officers is paramount to him. 

Lieutenant General Yahaya who made this known while unveiling new accommodation quarters for Corporal Below Officers at Headquarters Six Division Nigerian Army Port Harcourt Rivers State, noted that the accommodation will spur the beneficiaries to give their best in the service to the nation.

“The welfare of officers is taken very seriously by me and President Muhammadu Buhari”

“Commissioned were accommodation for our soldiers that were in bad shape and many of them were newly constructed by General Officer Commanding Six Division.”

“They are very befitting accommodation for gentlemen soldiers”

While unveiling twenty Operational vehicles refurbished by Six Division Nigerian Army, the Chief of Army Staff gave assurance that the vehicles would be useful to combat oil theft and other security challenges within the Area of Responsibility of Six Division Nigerian Army. 

The Army boss told News men that the vehicles would be deployed in the operation exercises of Nigerian Army. 

“We also commissioned some vehicles, about twenty of them that will be deployed immediately in our operations “

Lieutenant General Farouk Yahaya commended the efforts of the General Officer Commanding, GOC,  Six Division Nigerian Army and Land Component Commander Operation Delta Safe, Major General Olufemi Oluyede for his developmental strides in the barracks.

Apart from the accommodation quarters  made up of over sixty flats of different categories, the Chief of Army Staff also  inaugurated other projects and inspected ongoing ones within Six Division Headquarters.
