People in positions of authority have been enjoined to maintain humble disposition.
The Managing Director Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku who gave the advice during the valedictory court session for retired Chief Judge of Bayelsa State, Justice Kate Abiri, acknowledged that she deserved to be honoured for serving the state as the chief Judge for fifteen years.
“It is not easy to be a state chief Judge for fifteen years and nine months.
She is an asset to Niger Delta People; she had served without blemish, meritoriously.
So we are all here to celebrate her, I think she deserves it.”
“You can see the array of judiciary personnel and other dignitaries present at the valedictory session.”
“I am here with my State Rep of the NDDC; both of us are from Bayelsa state.”
“We came in our official capacity to represent our commission to celebrate her too.”
On the development of Bayelsa State, the Managing Director noted that the state is need of infrastructural Development which the Niger Delta Development commission has been playing a big role to bring that to reality.
“We cannot over emphasize the need for development in Bayelsa State and we know our problems, we don’t need to be reminded, we are from Bayelsa State.”
“So, when you ask what motivates me, what motivates me is under development in Bayelsa State.”
“We need road, we need canalization, we need shore protection, we need every form of development.”
“You can even see the effects of the recent flood that ravaged the state, we need to solve all these problems, and these are the challenges before us.”
Recounting her service years, the retired Chief Judge of Bayelsa State, Justice Abiri who expressed happiness over a fulfilled career told the people that innovations were made for easy court proceedings.
