NDDC INTERNENTION SAVES THE LIFE OF A BOY WITH HEART CHALLENGE

Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC has intervened in the case of a young boy Miracle Nwagbara, who had  a hole in the heart and needed surgery. 

Speaking in his office at NDDC Headquarters Marine Base, Port Harcourt Rivers State, while receiving the family that came to show appreciation, the Executive Director, Finance and Administration, Retired Major General Charles Airhiavbere explained that he was heartbroken when he read about the case and felt there was need for the commission to take it up

The case of the young boy Master Miracle Nwagbara was a Pathetic story of a young boy   with complicated  health challenges of a hole in the heart and issues with his genitals. 

What made the situation worse was that Master Nwagbara was born with the challenge by a couple who could hardly afford their daily bread. 

Though the church he attends assisted in footing his medical bills till he was referred to India for a heart surgery to correct the hole in the heart, which would require about eight Million naira. 

While receiving the family and clergyman in his office, the executive Director Finance and Administration, EDFA, retired Major General Charles Airhiavbere told newsmen that NDDC was committed to lending a helping hand to the less privileged and people of Niger Delta region. 

Retired Major General Airhiavbere insisted that the interventionist agency has a robust health care Programme that would cater for the health concerns of the people. 

On his part, the pastor of the church that the boy attends, Pastor George Ero, revealed that the case was disheartening which made them reach out to NDDC to intervene and the surgery was successfully carried out. 

Similarly, the boy’s father, Mr. Solomon Nwagbara explained that the issue was overwhelming and had given up before NDDC waded in. 

The respondents appreciated NDDC for coming to their rescue
