NSCDC ASSURES ON AMICABLE RESOLUTION OF MISUNDERSTANDING WITH NUPENG

Public Relations Officer, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Rivers State Command, Deputy Superintendent Olufemi Ayodele says the issue that led Petroleum Tanker Drivers to block the entrance of the command’s premises is being resolved.
Deputy Superintendent Ayodele who made this known while speaking to journalists in Port Harcourt Rivers State explained that the Command secured forfeiture of trucks and products handed over to them by Joint Task Force, JTF at Federal High Court in Port Harcourt.

According to him, after about nine months of the judgment, the group said that it has a judgment in its favour by another high court.
The Public Relations Officer, who reiterated the determination of NSCDC to continue the fight against oil theft, gave assurance that the misunderstanding would be resolved as high-ranking officers from the headquarters are handling the matter.
On his part, the Zonal Public Relations Officer of Petroleum Tanker Drivers of Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, comrade John Bosco said that the Tanker Drivers secured judgement in their favour to have their trucks back, but that has not been done.
