NIGERIAN ARMY AND AIR FORCE TO JOIN FORCES AGAINST CRIMINALITY IN RIVERS STATE

The need for stronger alliance among security operatives in fighting criminality has been highlighted.
The Commander 6 Division Garrison cum Commander Sector 3 Joint Task Force (JTF) South South (SS) Operation DELTA SAFE (OPDS), Brigadier General Eddie Effiong made the assertion at 6 Division Garison, Port Harcourt Rivers State, while receiving the Commander 115 Special Operations Group (SOG), Nigerian Air Force (NAF), Group Captain Ali Idris
.

Brigadier General Effiong who acknowledged the importance of synergy between the Nigerian Army and NAF, especially in the fight against criminalities, expressed optimism that such team work would guarantee success of military operations.
According to a statement from Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 6 Division Nigerian Army, Major Danjuma Jona, the Commander Sector 3 Joint Task Force (JTF) South South (SS) Operation DELTA SAFE maintained that joint operations reduces casualties as all efforts are geared towards a common goal.

Earlier in his remarks, as contained in the statement, Commander 115 Special Operations Group, Nigerian Air Force (NAF), Group Captain Ali Idris said that the courtesy visit was necessary to familiarize himself with military formations in the state.
Captain Idris expressed confidence that the visit would strengthen the existing relationship among the Services.

He identified collaboration as being critical in mitigating security challenges and ensuring stability in a joint operations area.
