NDDC, BRITISH HIGH COMMISSION PALLY ON RENEWABLE ENERGY

British High commission has pledged to collaborate with Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, in the quest to develop Niger Delta Region.
The commitment was made by the Political Secretary, British High Commission Abuja, Mr. Hamish Tyre during a courtesy call on the Managing Director Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, at NDDC headquarters Port Harcourt Rivers State.
Mr. Tyre who was the leader of the delegation that came for the visit identified renewable clean energy as the area of interest for the partnership.
In his admission that the interventionist agency was on the right track in its developmental agenda, he noted that such trajectory has become attractive to international and reputable organizations who are willing to be part of the new trend.
Speaking on the collaboration, the Managing Director Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku attributed the increase in number of Development partners and donor agencies showing interest in the commission to the capacity and sincerity being exhibited by the present management.
Dr. Ogbuku who was optimistic about the gains of the conferences NDDC held with partners in Lagos and Abuja, as well as meetings with embassies cum agencies, gave assurance of the determination of management to bring to fruition its lofty developmental initiatives.
The Chief Executive Officer of the interventionist agency maintained that all efforts would be made to take development to the hinterlands in Niger Delta region and lift many out of poverty.
He expressed happiness that NDDC has regained its credibility and confidence before statutory contributors, international partners and donor agencies.
