FORMER LAW MAKER CALLS FOR END OF WAR BETWEEN ISRAEL AND GAZA

COLLINS GBARAWI

A Public Affairs analyst, Chief Ogbonna Nwuke, has warned that if nothing is done urgently to end the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, it could degenerate into a global war with devastating consequences.

Chief Nwuke who was reacting to the killing of over five hundred people in an explosion at a Baptist hospital in Gaza, lamented that the war is being fueled by some countries who are taking sides, instead of seeking ways to resolve the issue.

The Analyst who particularly frowned at the role the United States government is playing out in the crisis, questioned the rationale behind the deployment of aircraft carriers by the United States into the Middle East.

Chief Nwuke, who is also a former federal lawmaker, decried the inability of the United Nations’ Security Council to take a definite position on the war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza, noting that the war could escalate into the third world war, if nothing concrete is done to stop it.

Chief Nwuke urged the world powers to put aside their egos and work towards ending the war between Israel and the Palestinian militant group in Gaza.
