Chairman, Board of Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Mr. CHIEDU EBIE has emphasized the need to appreciate those who have labourered for the development of Niger Delta region.
Mr. Ebie who made this known in Port Harcourt Rivers State, during the celebration of former directors of the commission that retired recently, maintained that the agency places premium on the well-being of staff.
Similarly the Managing Director NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku while applauding the retirees, said that there was a management decision to remember former directors of the commission during every yuletide season.
According to him, from next year also, former MDs and chairmen would be entitled to medical services.
The Managing Director who assured them of their entitlements, pledged continued relationship with the former directors.
in their responses, former Acting Managing Director, Dr. Emmanuel Audu-Ohwavborua and Former Director Corporate Affairs, Dr. Ibitonye Abosede said they were fulfilled having worked tirelessly to ensure development of Niger Delta communities.
The retirees advised workers to be diligent and proactive in their endeavors.
